General grants over £5000

Scottish Community Foundation

http://www.scottishcf.org/strengthening-communities/apply-for-a-grant/scotland-wide-grant-programmes/general-grants-over-5-000/

The aim of the Foundation is to help Scotland’s communities become stronger, believing that stronger communities will be more successful communities, with a better quality of life for everyone.

Occasionally, the Foundation is able to make larger grants over £5,000 (usually up to a maximum of £25,000) where projects match the interests of particular donors and when funds are available. However, the opportunity to apply for larger awards depends very much on what funds are available and the interests of its current donors. Often a donor’s funds will only be targeted at certain parts of Scotland.

For this reason, you cannot immediately apply to us for larger grants, but the Foundation welcomes enquiries from organisations that have a specific funding need where more than £5,000 is required. (It does not support general fundraising appeals).

Some themes of interest to the Foundation at the moment are: organisations working with women and children affected by deprivation or disadvantage; educational initiatives; and projects working with young people not in education, employment or training. However, please note that there is no guarantee that the Foundation will be able to accept applications from projects that fit these categories, and neither is this an exhaustive list of themes it might support.
