Scottish Government Science Engagement Grants
To help promote better interaction between scientists and the public, promote science's contribution to our economy and culture, and inspire our next generation of scientists, the Scottish Government supports 'science engagement' activities through a grant programme run by the Office of the Chief Scientific Adviser.
Projects that receive funding may:
- Give members of the public the chance to meet scientists to discuss their work or debate new scientific developments
- Take science activities into communities across Scotland, for example through festivals and other public events
- Highlight contemporary examples of Scottish excellence and innovation in science, engineering and technology, from industry or the research base
- Promote science careers and complement the formal 3-18 science curriculum
Only three applications per organisation/institution will be considered.
At least 10 per cent of your project's cash costs must be from sources other than the Scottish Government.
Maximum grant available is £30,000.
