The Scottish Health Council monitors NHS Boards’ performance in delivering patient-focussed services and involving the public in service planning, design and delivery. It assists Boards with developing and extending their Patient Focus and Public Involvement practice.

We also ensure that patients, members of the public and carers are enabled to make known their feedback and comments to the NHS. We do not speak directly on behalf of these groups.
